THE TRAINING ORGANIZER

“Industrial Vocational Training Centre ( BLKI )” as a training organizer is one type of vocational training centre of Ministry of Manpower, which is located at or near industrial estate. This categorization depends on the local condition and local economic potential. Therefore, the graduate, at least, shall be suitable with the local job qualification. 

BLKI, located in Serang, Bekasi, Karawang, Tanjung Pinang, Tangerang and Balikpapan is the pilot- project organizer of Technician and Craftsman training Program. They cooperate with Austrian Government (through Voest-Alpine and EMCO) as echelon III official organization, managed by Directorate General of Training and Manpower Productivity Development of Ministry of Manpower of Republic of Indonesia.

 Cooperation with Voest Alpine is being carried out in Serang, Tanjung Pinang and Balikpapan, while cooperation with EMCO is being done in Karawang, Bekasi and Tangerang. Moreover running the training program, the cooperation  also develops hardware, software and brainware. It is started in 1994, and will be finished in 2004.

The Program

1.       Technician training program, consist of 3 sections: industrial welding, Industrial mechanic and industrial electronic.

2.       Craftsman training program of industrial welding.

3.       Tailor-made training program.

The Instructor

 With their expertise, 40 instructors have been arranged for this training center.

They are competent in developing of technology, utilizing of method and system relevant with industrial growth, conducting maintenance and repair of latest technology and, ability to transform their know-how through training program.

Focusing on technician training program, there are 24 instructors with S1 educational background and have been empowered with teaching skill during 3-year preparation. Furthermore as an Industrial Vocational Training Centre instructor, they have qualification as well as a technician’s instructor.
